This position will be responsible for all shipping, receiving, and inventory management within the Wake Forest design and production facility. The successful candidate will have primary ownership of these areas and be expected to improve processes and work instructions as needed.
Receipt and unpacking of all incoming shipments.
Verification of contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
Assessment of condition of items upon receipt.
Accurate data entry into the material management system (MRP) for all receipts, shipments, and inventory transactions.
MRP and Physical transfer of received items into proper inventory storage locations.
Maintaining accuracy and control of all inventory items
Ability to identify and correct MRP transactional inaccuracies
Packaging of materials and finished products for shipment. Includes large pallets, spools and crates.
Coordination and scheduling of shipments for pickup.
Creating and filing necessary documentation for shipments and receipts.
Close communication and coordination with purchasing, quality and production planning to resolve issues and meet internal and customer material needs.
Organization and cleanliness of shipping, receiving, and inventory locations.
Physical Movement of material between multiple on sight warehouses.
Operation of material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack and overhead crane.
Pulling material kits for release MOs in order to meet production schedule.
Provide production with timely and accurate material support.
Maintaining material shortages for multiple active Manufacturing Orders.
Comply with Federal and corporate safety standards.
HS Diploma with relevant work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Impeccable attention to detail.
Basic Computer skills (familiarity with MS office applications and demonstrated ability to use Excel).
Basic understanding of material flow in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with or understanding of ERP systems used for materials management.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Initiative and strong work ethic.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to execute responsibilities with little supervision.
Forklift and crane certification or ability to gain certification.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to remain physically active throughout the work day.
Ability to obtain appropriate personnel clearance (i.e. U.S. Citizenship required)
Compensation: Commensurate with background
