First Friday Flix returns to the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts on Friday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m. The Renaissance Centre is located at 405 S. Brooks St.
First Friday Flix movie screenings are free and open to the public. Concessions, including popcorn and soft drinks, are available for purchase.
Due to the terms and conditions outlined in its agreement with the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation, the Renaissance Centre is not permitted to publicize the title of each month’s film. However, here’s a hint about the Aug. 7 movie: it’s a PG rated 2015 sports drama produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Starring Kevin Costner, the film is based on the true story of a 1987 cross country team from a predominantly Mexican-American highs school, McFarland High School.
To obtain the title of this movie and future films offered at the Renaissance Centre, sign up for Renaissance Centre updates via E-Notifier at www.wakeforestnc.gov/enotifier.aspx or call the Special Events Hotline at 919-435-9428.
