Teams & Sponsors Sought for Police Department’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Teams of area amateur golfers have until Thursday, Oct. 1, to enter the Wake Forest Police Department’s 20th Annual Tournament for the Kids. The event will be held at noon on Monday, Oct. 5, at the Brevofield Golf Links, 13601 Camp Kanata Road, Wake Forest.

The field is limited to the first 30 paid teams, so interested golfers are encouraged to register early. The entry fee is $ 240 per foursome or $ 60 per person and includes lunch, green fees, cart, prizes and dinner. Individual players may request to be included on a waiting list in the event additional teams are formed.

Tee box and hole sponsorships are available for $ 100 each and include sign recognition of sponsorship for one hole.

All proceeds from the Tournament for the Kids will benefit children in the Wake Forest community. Money raised during the event in recent years has been used to purchase Christmas gifts for less fortunate children, fund T-ball and softball teams and sponsor children in local recreational events.
