PRCR Offering “Zumba in the Park” Starting Sept. 25

The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is inviting area residents of all ages to Zumba in the Park. Beginning Friday, Sept. 25, and continuing through Saturday, Oct. 24, these mornings of outdoor exercise will be offered at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road, on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:15-10:15 a.m.

Participants will move to the Latin rhythms of Zumba, featuring interval dance sessions that combine fast and slow rhythms to maximize fat burning. Learn the Tango, Salsa, Cumbia, and Reggaeton while you experience an hour of body-energizing, stress-relieving fun in the great outdoors.

The cost for each two-week session is $ 20, and the drop-in fee is $ 5. Each session will consist of four classes.

Pre-registration is required for each class at which time full payment is also required. Both online and walk-in registrations are available. For complete registration information, visit and search for “Registration” or call 919-435-9560.
