It seems to us at the Wake Forest News that the pig on the shore in the picture above sent to us with the press release is going to need some grief support after this is over.

Lizard Licking

legendoflizardlickcoververticalhighresolutionThe Legend of Lizard Lick Children’s Book Reading

Karen Matthews will be reading from her new children’s book “The Legend of Lizard Lick: A North Carolina Folktale” this Friday, October 11, from 6 – 9 pm at Storytellers”s Bookstore, 158 S White Street, downtown Wake Forest. It is part of the downtown Art after Dark program. Children will receive free coloring pages and prizes will be given to the children who listen attentively and answer questions about the story. Prizes also given for the person coming from farthest away and from the place closest to Lizard Lick as well as the oldest and youngest who attends.

Lizard Lick is only 17 miles from Wake Forest; join us this Friday evening and found out how this tiny community got its funny name, or at least how Papa Richard in the story tells it.

It must be a total fairy tale because there isn’t a Lizard Lick repo truck to be seen in the cover.

Our version of what the cover should be if we include Lizard Lick Towing.

Breast Cancer Support

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month, The Falls Day Spa would like to honor and recognize those who are currently undergoing or have recently undergone radiation or chemotherapy.

We are introducing our Oncology Skin Support Program and are proud to offer a free skin support Session during limited appointment times on selected dates during the months of October and November. Please call The Falls Day Spa at 919-570-8889 for more information and to schedule an appointment.

Breast Awareness Month

The Falls Day Spa is doing an awesome thing for breast cancer patients. In the interest of helping others develop breast awareness this month we felt compelled to help you be more aware of breasts. Just doing a public service.

Hum, now that we actually see the picture on the page, we guess we could have just pointed at our version of the Lizard Lick cover but that would not have been nearly as gratuitous.
