FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A retired Fayetteville police officer has been killed in by a hit and run driver.
The Fayetteville Observer reported (http://bit.ly/1NLICLc ) that 55-year-old retired Sgt. Thomas Curtis Glascock of Hope Mills died Thursday.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol reported Glascock was operating a motorcycle just off U.S. 301 South when a vehicle turned into the path of his motorcycle.
Glascock was taken to Cape Fear Velley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A report filed by Trooper S.C. Johnson said the driver of the other vehicle got out and ran away. No arrests have been reported.
