Forestville Road Bridge to Open Tonight

ccording to the Forestville Road Bridge replacement project manager, the new bridge will open later tonight once the striping operations are completed.

Striping operations have been slowed due to a problem with the striping equipment. Crews are currently painting the stripes by hand. As a result, the work may not be completed until 7 p.m. or later.

Work began in early July to replace the bridge that spans Smith Creek.

The new three-lane bridge includes a sidewalk on the Heritage High School or western side of the structure, as well as a pedestrian underpass to accommodate users wishing to access the Smith Creek and Sanford Creek Greenways.
