Silver Alert issued for Fayetteville teen

— Fayetteville police have issued a Silver Alert for an 18-year-old girl who went missing Sunday morning.

Makayla Freeman, 18, was last seen leaving her home in the 5200 block of Catalpa Road at about 2 a.m. She is believed to be in the company of Derrick King, who is between 18 and 21 years of age. They may be driving a white four door Honda Accord or Civic with unknown registration.

Freeman is described as being five feet tall and weighing 105 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair that was tied in a ponytail when she left her home.

She was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeve shirt and black and white pajama pants.

Police said Freeman is diagnosed with a condition associated with cognitive impairment.

Anybody with information concerning the whereabouts of Freeman are asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
