Truck carrying dry ice catches fire along I-95 in Johnston County

— No injuries were reported Tuesday morning when a tractor-trailer carrying dry ice caught fire on the shoulder of Interstate 95 South in Johnston County.

The fire started near mile marker 89, in Four Oaks, shortly after 6 a.m., according to responding firefighters.

The driver of the tractor-trailer disconnected the cab of the truck and pulled it away from the trailer after the fire started.

Delays were reported in the area while crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
