We met an amazing bunch of guys from the Wake Forest American Legion at the Wake Forest Farmers’ Market today.
They are such a warm bunch of vets and they want you to come see them on Sunday between 8 am to 1 pm so they can feed you all the delicious pancakes you can eat for only $5. Kids under 11 eat free.
Not only are these guys willing to fight for your freedom and die for this country, but they will apparently serve a delicious breakfast to anyone brave enough to skip church and head over to 225 East Holding Avenue on the Second Sunday of every single month.
Maybe it’s because of all the MREs or military food they had to eat while serving but the American Legion knows how to throw a breakfast party. Not only does the $5 cover all you can eat pancakes but sausage, orange juice, and coffee as well. That alone brings tears to our eyes.
So do your part to support Wake Forest veterans and go eat some pancakes.
While you are there, you can enter to win a 32 inch flat screen television they are apparently carrying around town. The winner will be confident knowing their television has traveled some interesting miles.
