Meet in the Street Vendor Applications Now Accepted

Here’s your chance to be a part of the 2016 Meet in the Street! The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for arts and crafts vendors, non-profits and downtown merchants for this highly-anticipated community event.

Applications are now available online at www.wakeforestnc.gov/meet-in-the-street.aspx and at the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce, 350 S. White St.

The 36th Annual Meet in the Street® festival will take place Saturday, May 7, in historic downtown Wake Forest. Presented annually by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce, Meet in the Street offers a day filled with food, fun and entertainment, including live music and children’s activities.

Festivities will include dozens of artisans’ booths featuring handcrafted arts and crafts along South Taylor Street, South Brooks Street, and South White Street starting at 10 a.m. The event also will include multiple entertainment venues and a beer garden.

Android and iPhone users can have a handy pocket guide to the 2016 Meet in the Street in the palm of their hands by downloading the Town of Wake Forest app and using the app’s “Meet Street” function. Designed to offer smart phone users instant access to important details about Meet in the Street, the function includes the complete entertainment schedule, a list of food concessions, information about the Children’s Village, an interactive map and more.

IPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android users can download the town’s free app by searching for “Town of Wake Forest” on iTunes, in the iPhone app store, or in Google Play or by scanning the appropriate QR code provided at www.wakeforestnc.gov/app.aspx.
