Raleigh, N.C. — One person died and a second one was wounded late Wednesday in a Raleigh shooting, police said.
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 2800 block of Filbert Street at about 9:45 p.m.
Neighbors in the area said that they heard several shots ring out, followed by the sound of screaming.
Early Thursday morning, police said that Kari Onyea Watson, 18, had died from the shooting and that Dre’kwon Bagley, 18, was taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting remains under investigation, but no arrests have been made.
