Harry “Rocky” Terrill, 72, of Wake Forest, died Friday December 25, 2015. He was born February 5, 1943 to the late Gordon B. and Mary Jane (Lenon) Terrill in Lansing, MI.

Harry played football for Everett High School in Lansing, MI. Following graduation he moved to Southern California and attended UCLA. Moving back to Michigan, he enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserves in July 1964. He was honorably discharged from military service June 1970.
He graduated from Michigan State University in December of 1970, a dedicated Spartan fan who never missed a game.
After his marriage to Charlene (Musser) Terrill, two beautiful children were added to the family, Elizabeth Catherine and Adam Michael. His children were a source of pride, love and enjoyment.
Harry enjoyed a rewarding and successful career in the car industry that began with Oldsmobile in 1971. He joined BMW/NA in 1980 where he served in many key positions with the company until his retirement in 1998. After numerous rounds of golf he decided to return to the workforce in February, 2000 when he took a job as an auditor for the North Carolina Department of Commerce/Energy Division. Here he met his current wife, Cathy, known to Harry as Catey.
Harry and Catey married on April 12, 2003. Their time together was spent loving, laughing, and traveling. One of their favorite trips was to Orlando in 2013 where they enjoyed acting like kids and riding all the wild rides in the theme parks.
Harry loved the holidays. Starting with Halloween dressing as Mad Eye Moody from the Harry Potter series through Christmas where he celebrated the joys of the season with his children, grand-children and extended family.
Harry’s wit and humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him, as there will never be another Rocky.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughter, Elizabeth (Edward); grandsons, Benjamin, Austin, and Eric; son, Adam (Karen); granddaughter, Cameron; sisters, Melody (Llwyn), Lori (Gary); nephew, Aaron; brother, Lee (Tamberlene); nephews, Brad and Marc; nieces, Kiley and Erin and their respective children; along with favorite aunt, Mattie Lou Lenon.
Harry believed in education and wanted all of his grandchildren to get a college education. A fund has been set up so that all funds will be evenly distributed to all four grandchildren and placed into a college fund that has already been established.
