Woman charged in roommate’s death at Louisburg assisted living center

— A woman was arrested Tuesday in the stabbing death of her roommate at an assisted living facility in Louisburg, authorities said.

Franklin County deputies responded to a reported stabbing at The Jordan, at 90 E. F. Cottrell Road, shortly before 3 a.m. and found Elouise Collier, 78, dead.

Patricia Marrow, 57, was charged with first-degree murder and was taken to the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women, in Raleigh, where she was being held without bond.

No other details were released.

The Jordan has received a four-star rating – the state’s highest – from the Department of Health and Human Services for the past six years. No deficiencies in patient care or oversight were noted in recent inspections, only building repairs that were needed.
