On Wednesday afternoon around 4 pm the call went out that an accident with injuries had occurred near the intersection of S. Main Street and Capcom Avenue. You can hear the emergency dispatch call below.
It was not abundantly clear who was at fault in the accident but the black car you will see below got quite a nose job by the silver car. Just a wild guess would be the black car somehow missed the silver car and pulled out to the scene of the kapow.
Both drivers appeared to be assisted by our friends at Wake Forest EMS units 10 and 33. When we arrived, one driver was being prepared for a ride on a stretcher while wearing a lovely pair of khaki pants and tasteful shoes.
The accident was quickly cleared to make room for evening rush hour traffic. The entire operation appeared to flow like a well oiled emergency response event should.
Typically these types of events roll out like this:
- Fire department throws peat moss on the leaking liquids.
- Police secure the scene.
- EMS captures anyone that might be possible injured and squirrels them away like nuts for the winter.
- Reports are taken.
- Lots of waving and arm motions are engaged to keep traffic moving.
- Crap gets cleared up and moved out of the way.
- Brooms get put away.
- Everyone leaves.
