Chapel Hill, N.C. — The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will host a welcome home celebration Tuesday afternoon for the men’s basketball team.
The Tar Heels (33-7) fell one shot short of a sixth NCAA title Monday night when Villanova’s Kris Jenkins sank buzzer beater.
The team is expected to arrive at Raleigh-Durham International Airport by early afternoon and make their way to campus, where fans are invited to greet them outside the Dean E. Smith Center around 2 p.m.
Parking will be available in the Manning and Bowles lots and in the Craige deck.
