On an overcast, cold, and cloudy day last week three vehicles managed to clog up the entrance ramp in front of the Carolina Ale House from Dr. Calvin Jones to U.S. Route 1 South.
According to official reports the pickup truck stopped to allow for other traffic merging onto the entrance ramp. Unfortunately the driver of the silver car was unable to stop and slammed into the truck.
The passengers in the pickup were taken to the hospital. “Driver two and passenger two were transported to Wake Med-Main Campus, in reference to complaints of back pain and as a precaution due to pregnancy, respectively.”
Apparently being pregnant helps prevent back and neck pain from a rear end accident. Maybe like a built in airbag or something. Not real sure how that works.
And then there was the big yellow truck. The truck had nothing to do with the accident and the driver said he wasn’t even near the cars when they collided. He said they were just trying to sneak past the accident and get on Capital Blvd but got into the grass and started sliding down the hill.
