Elsie Leonhardt Ellington, 67, of Louisburg, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, May 9, 2016.

A Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, May 13, 2016 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Ron Brisson. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Ellington was born on May 27, 1948 in Henderson, NC, the daughter of the late Maude Benton and David Leonhardt. She was self-employed, owning her own cleaning business for several years. Mrs. Ellington enjoyed beading crafts, and her favorite holiday was Christmas, which she loved to celebrate year-round.

Elsie is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jerry N. Ellington of the home; sons, James Tyler of Franklin County, NC and Earl Cash; stepsons, Phillip Ellington and Jeff Ellington, both of Robbinsville, NC; several grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Hicks of Wake Forest, Lillie Mae Parsons of Winston Salem and Edna Whitaker of Youngsville; and several cousins.

Friends may visit with the family prior to the service, from 12:00 – 1:45pm Friday at the funeral home.
