Truck Driver Has Erection and Falls Over in Wake Forest

Thanks to an awesome Facebook reader we learned of a truck accident today between Purnell Road and Jenkins Road on Capital Blvd. Traffic was snarled as people gawked at the big truck laying on its side. What, you’ve never seen a huge truck fall over? Okay, we’ll give you the fact it’s not something we see around here on a regular basis.

According to the Highway Patrol the truck was headed south on Capital Blvd with the truck bed up, yes up. Oops. The aerodynamic drag must have been terrible.

The erect truck bed snagged the power line across Capital and broke the pole, as shown at the arrows below.

After snagging the power line and taking the pole with it from the southbound side of the road it managed to leave the road, take out a fiber optic box and then fall over.

Someone has no phone service and no power right now. Happy campers for sure.

The police kindly informed us that the other end of the power line was laying on the ground right near where we parked. Of course it is.

We observed the driver talking to the trucking company representative. Yea, that was a little tense. Let’s just say we didn’t observe any hugging going on and leave it at that.
