It’s been a slow couple of days with the Christmas holiday and all that. In fact it has been relatively quiet on both the police and fire side of things.
The tedium was broken this evening when at 6:21, nine units were called to 10548 Swerling Way for what was believed to be a house fire.
Initial reports indicated it was an electrical outlet smoking. Hopefully it wasn’t the one with the Christmas tree plugged into it.
When we arrived good old Wake Forest Engine 5 looked like they beat all the other Raleigh fire trucks to the scene and had things well under control.
Thankfully all seemed to be under control and there was no fire found. No Christmas presents were lost and something actually happened around here today. For that we are thankful.
And by the way, on our way to that call we noticed an incredible number of immensely decorated houses in that neighborhood. If you are bored, loads the kids in the car and go for a ride over that way.
