At 9:35 this morning the call went out to the Youngsville Fire Department, Franklin County EMS and Youngsville Rescue & EMS about a full speed t-bone accident at Bert Winston Road and U.S. 1.
According to witnesses at the scene the white pickup truck was sitting on Bert Winston Road when the cross traffic light turned green. One witness who was sitting on the opposite side of Bert Winston Road facing the white truck said the light was green for a few seconds before the driver started across U.S. 1.
Both witnesses said they did not see the northbound red pickup truck brake and it impacted the driver side door of the white pickup at highway speed.
The driver of the white truck was reported as initially being pinned and witnesses said the passenger was not pinned but vomiting when they ran up to help.
The driver of the red truck was reported injured in the accident as well.
Multiple ambulance units arrived at the scene to take all injured parties to the hospital for treatment.
