For those of us who have met Wake Forest Police Department Officer Scott Graham it can come as no surprise the guy is destined for good things. He’s a hell of a nice guy, but then again we’ve never met him carrying an armload of beer with him behind us in a foot chase.
He probably yells something like “I dare you to stop.” After all he is the DARE officer. (Drug Abuse Resistance Eduction)
Apparently the N.C.D.A.R.E Officer’s Association has take notice of Graham and he has been elected First-Vice President of the Association.
Graham was elected during the 24th Annual N.C.D.A.R.E Officers Association Conference in Wilmington, NC, on Jan. 17.
Graham will serve a four-year rotating term. After serving as First-Vice President this year, he will advance to Vice President in 2014 before serving as President in 2016 and Past-President in 2017. After that he will serve one term as First-Past-President.

A Wake Forest Police Officer since 2005, Graham has taught and graduated over 1,000 elementary school students during his tenure as a D.A.R.E. instructor in Wake Forest-area schools. As a D.A.R.E. mentor, he also trains other police officers to become D.A.R.E. instructors. Since 2010 he has assisted in the training of over 90 new D.A.R.E. officers in North Carolina.
Also during the N.C.D.A.R.E Officers Association Conference, Graham’s daughter, Jessica, was announced the winner of the 2014 N.C. D.A.R.E. Officer Association Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. A senior at Franklin Academy Senior High School, Jessica will attend UNC-Wilmington this fall.
