According to KUSI in California a California Highway patrol officer handcuffed a Chula Vista firefighter, Jacob Gregoire, who refused to move the fire engine from a travel lane on Interstate 805. Gregoire was placed in the back of the squad car after being cuffed.
“According to [Fire Chief] Hanneman, Gregoire conducted himself properly in telling the CHP officer — who already had directed fire crews to move two other engines from the freeway — that the emergency vehicle in question had to be there in order to shield an ambulance called in for those hurt in the wreck.” – Source
Clearly some officer at CHP is getting a talking to. This would never happen in Wake Forest.
