Raleigh Downtown Bus Terminal Moving Closer to XXX Adult DVD Shop

You may have a vague recollection where the current Greyhound Bus terminal is in downtown Raleigh. It’s been in that same location over near 42 Street Oyster Bar since the early 1970s. But just as we see those familiar Greyhound buses moving through Wake Forest on Capital Blvd each day, the terminal is moving to Capital Blvd as well.

The terminal is relocating to 2210 Capital Boulevard near the intersection of Capital and Crabtree Boulevards, across from the new Salvation Army building. You know, in that building where restaurants have gone to die over the past five years or so.

New construction at that building has been a mystery but now that we know the bus terminal is setting up shop there it makes sense, its roofs over tall buses they are building. We thought it was going to be a Sonic for really tall people.

The new location is closer to 440 and will have some sort of food service. Doubtfully either barbecue or Chinese which both failed in that location.
