During the recent February 2014 Weathermagedon snow storm we juggled a number of snowballs in the air. Not only was there the live video storm coverage which you can see here, but plowing our own driveway, getting coffee, and posting reader photos on the Wake Forest News Facebook page.
Sadly we have to report we dropped the snowball in posting all the reader photos. Later we found some in our spam folder, from our own form! Talk about adding insult to injury. [Insert sound of shaking fist at computer screen.]
With our most sincere apologies we now present you with the Amelia Earhart collection of Weathermagedon 2014 reader contributed photos.
“DORIS SHEEN, a WAKE FOREST RESIDENT has chosen to wait out the WINTER STORM of FEB 12, 2014 in SUNNY ACAPULCO MEXICO. She has a great start. Picture taken about 11 am EDST Feb 12.” Bitch. š However we award Doris 750 points for her lovely sense of humor. From Kathi who said, “Looking north from the Depot parking lot area.” And we were looking for the Home.Mark Cantrell said, “Our gazing ball is a good indicator of how much snow has fallen.” And now we’ve actually had to talk about gazing at Mark’s ball.Alan sent in this picture of the bread rack at Harris Rd/Capital Blvd Harris Teeter, 11:30AM Wednesday. Wake Forest residents never disappoint in clearing out the bread for a storm.Kathi sent in another photo which confirms that Wake Forest residents are irrational when it comes to buying bread for a snow storm, but frugal. The cheap bread is cleaned out.
We love reader photos. Please send your’s in by email at wfncnews@gmail.com or upload them here.
