Raleigh police: Missing man may have boarded bus to Garner Wednesday morning

— Raleigh police are continuing to seek the public’s help to find a missing 34-year-old man who is the subject of a statewide Silver Alert issued Tuesday evening.

Joshua Dale Benney, who was reported missing Saturday evening, is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 260 pounds, police said.

The last confirmed sighting of Benney was at about 8 p.m. Saturday in the 4400 block of New Bern Avenue, but police said a person matching his description was seen boarding a bus Wednesday morning in downtown Raleigh. The bus was traveling to Garner, and police are working to confirm details of the sighting.

When Benney went missing, he was wearing a black T-shirt, khaki shorts and black Nike shoes.
