Raleigh, N.C. — Donnell Rochelle, of Raleigh, was feeling good Monday when he collected the big check that symbolized his $1 million-winning Powerball play.
“It feels very good to win,” he said.
Rochelle matched all five white balls in Saturday’s Powerball drawing to claim the $1 million prize. After taxes, he netted $692,500.
Rochelle bought his ticket at the Hasty Mart on South Main Street in Wake Forest.
The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday night when the jackpot annuity is worth $67 million, or $40.4 million cash.
