Around 4 PM on Tuesday at the intersection of Jones Dairy Road and Shuford Road, a street I’ve never been down before, a crappy old POS overgrown mobile office decided it was time to combust. But whatever fire there might have been must have been tiny.
The Wake Forest Fire Department and Rolesville Fire Department decided to make the event in lightning fast time. It was business as usual with all that professional firefighting going on and then a bit of light banter while everyone enjoy the beautiful weather and rolled up hoses.
I wound up following a Wake Sheriff’s Deputy in to the fire location. She was driving one of the new WSO Caprice cars which looked very stylish as you can see. Really big perps may need to be strapped to the roof or laid down in the backseat for transport to the Wake County Jail. A bike rack might do.
The afternoon temperature was lovely and kids stood around watching all the action.
I’m just trying to come up with enough to say about this mostly non-event, hence the extended commentary.
