Earle Pleasants

Earle went to his heavenly home on January 2, 2017 to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Earle and his wife, Audrey, had celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary this past November. During his life, Earle worked 28 years with A&P in Warehouse Management. Earle loved his church family and served in numerous positions for many years. When not at work or enjoying service in the church, Earle would play golf, work in the yard, keep his birdfeeders full, or watch any sport the Wake Forest Deacons were playing.
Earle was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Pleasants; his father and mother, Bernard Pleasants and Blanche Allen Pleasants and by his brother, Lewis Pleasants. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Kearney Pleasants; son, Craig Pleasants and his wife, India Pleasants, of Wake Forest; sister-in-law, Carolyn Lynam of Raleigh; brothers-in-law, William “Bill” Kearney of Raleigh, and Lewis Kearney and wife, Barbara, of Wake Forest, and sister-in-law, Arreta Kearney of Wake Forest; many nieces and nephews, and his little dog, Joy.
Funeral services will be held at 11o’clock Thursday morning, January 5, 2017 at Wake Union Baptist Church, Wake Forest. Burial will follow at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wake Union Baptist Church’s Land Fund, 13345 Wake Union Church Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
