Missing Dog Returns Home Before Readers Knew She Was Missing

Apparently just sending in your missing dog message and pictures to Wake Forest News results in your dog being found. Or at least that’s the way it worked out for one loyal reader.

Overnight, Jamie Blackwell reported, “I have a 6 month old puppy that is missing and would appreciate any help your publication can provide. Both the puppy and her mother dug under my fence and toured my neighborhood. I found my older dog at 8:00pm close to where they were last seen together.”

Before we even had a chance to get the alert out this message arrived, “I would like to thank you for reading my previous email our puppy just surprised us by jumping into bed! She had a makeshift rope collar around her head, so someone definitely had her tied up. Thanks again for your excellent publication.”

Now if we could just come up with a way to get all lost puppies to return themselves home and jump into bed that would be better than inventing a better mousetrap.

There is almost nothing better than a good news pet story to help soft the blow of all of the rest of the crap that happens on a regular basis.

Thank you Jamie, you made my day.
