Mary Edith Williams, 88, of Rolesville, died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Hillside Nursing Center. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Stell Perry and was a member of Rolesville Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams was retired from Nationwide Insurance and the North Carolina Fire Insurance Rating Bureau.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning, January 26, 2017 at Rolesville Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her children, Sylvia Pearce and husband, Louis, of Raleigh, James H. Williams and wife, Sue, of Rockingham, Brenda Warren and husband, Tommy, of Princeton, Rebecca Mattox and husband, Cliff, of Bradenton, FL and Barbara Timmons of Rolesville and Special Friend Ronnie McLamb of Smithfield; her brother, A.R. Perry and wife, Doris, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Marshall and Rita Williams of Rolesville, Sherry Chalmers of Spring Hope, Gene Mattox of Bradenton FL, Justin Timmons of Rolesville, Sam and Amy Williams of Rockingham and Ben Caudle of Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Laura Williams of Rolesville, Eric Williams of Wake Forest, Michelle Chalmers of Spring Hope, Hailey and JD Timmons of Rolesville and Rhett and Olivia Williams of Rockingham.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Williams; her sister Beatrice Privette and by her brother, Bill Perry.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the Rolesville Baptist Church Building Fund P.O. Box 185 Rolesville, NC 27571.
