Wake Forest Gigabit Fiber Installation Officially Begins

This morning under cloudy skies RST Fiber began to dig for the gigabit fiber installation for the Wake Forest area.

The first hole was dug on Wait Avenue and was a very exciting experience for those that attended. Local media, the Mayor and others were thrilled when the drilling began. After they all left the workers got to it without distraction.

Dan Holt, a resident of Wake Forest and founder of Wake Forest Fiber, has been the driving force behind the effort to bring high-speed gigabit fiber to the Wake Forest Area and deserves the majority of credit for making this happen.

Wake Forest gigabit fiber officially begins its installation. This is as exciting as it gets till it’s connected to your home.

So after you get fiber to your house and you are downloading a movie online in three seconds, raise a glass and give Dan a salute. Alternatively, you could always play the Dan drinking game and if the movie downloads in less than five seconds you have to do a shot.

I can’t stress enough how important it is for you to just register your interest in having high-speed fiber run to your area. You still have to drum up local interest in getting it in your hood. The way you do that is by having all your neighbors register here and here.
