Last night local Boy Scout Troop 511 held a special event to help raise money for childhood cancer. They invited me to attend something for St. Baldricks. At first I thought they said St. Baldy. You know, the patron saint for middle age men.
But Troop 511, which consists of do-good lads from Wake Forest, Rolesville, North Raleigh, and Youngsville, decided a little head shaving to help raise money was a great way to help fight kids cancer. Smart kids.
As of last night the troop had raised $2,716 for St. Baldricks from head saving sponsors. Nice job Scouts!
The troop had to recruit professional follicle stylists to do the actual shaving and Audra Tucker and Debra Robertson donated their time to buzz-cut some Boy Scouts.

It is not too late to donate! http://www.stbaldricks.org/events/troop511
These guys should keep the cuts til they reach their personal fundraising goal.
