Wake Forest Happy Dance Update and Thank You

The big video shoot for the Wake Forest area “Happy” video was last Saturday.

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to all the people who came out for a beautiful day of very sunny and hot shooting.

The video is in the final stages of editing as I wait to shoot some last segments this week. While everyone waits I wanted to share some screenshots from the video below.

Wake Forest Mayor Jones deserves a big pat on the back for embracing this Wake Forest News project, there have been so many wonderful people who took time out of busy lives and took a big step outside of their comfort zone to participate. To everyone, thank you.

My plan at this point is to assemble two final versions. One will be the song edited down to the final video and the second will include many more of the segments shot and be more of a description of the event.

A thank you must also go out to Joe Martinson for taking photos of the event. And to all of the following people.

My wife Pam.

Kathi McCorkle in the yellow vest marks the direction of travel for the dancers. Sorry Kathi, Joe only took butt shots. Kathi's help was immeasurable.

And of course the kind friends at Cannizzaro’s Pizza who extended their lunch special on Saturday.

As I write this I’m in the middle of dealing with a very difficult transitional time with my 83-year-old father. But the one bright spot in my day is when I get to watch the video. No matter how I’m feeling at the moment, it makes me smile and laugh. So for that, thank you.

I can’t wait to share it with you, but for now enjoy a few of the shots below.
