The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre will host a First Friday Flix on Friday, May 2, at 7 p.m. that’s literally ‘out of this world.’
A winner of seven awards at the 86th Academy Awards, including Best Director, this 2013 British-American space drama stars two of Hollywood’s most popular A-list actors as astronauts involved in the mid-orbit destruction of a space shuttle and their attempt to return to Earth. The film is rated PG-13.
Due to the terms and conditions in its agreement with the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation, the Renaissance Centre is not permitted to announce the title of each month’s film to the general public.
Somewhere that restriction on the Town makes sense to some executive but not to me. I’m not under any restriction to tell you what the movie is. So my best guess is the film is the George Clooney, Sandra Bullock film Gravity.
It was a very cool movie and certainly a film I’d watch a third time. I saw it once in 3D and once in double D.
First Friday Flix movie screenings are free and open to the public. Concessions, including popcorn and soft drinks, are available for purchase.
I don’t know about you, but I want to go for sure. And did you notice, it’s free?
