Car Combusts at ABC Liquor Store in Wake Forest

On Thursday afternoon around 3 PM a car parked in front of the ABC Liquor Store, over near Lowe’s Home Improvement, decided while its owner was inside buying booze, the car would get lit.

Now there is nothing funny about watching your car burn but having it burn in front of a fully loaded liquor store can be both a blessing and a curse. If the fire was to spread there would be a lot of combustible material nearby. And trust me, nothing can start a charcoal grill like some 151 rum. On the other hand, once you car is one fire it might just be time to turn around and grab another bottle of something special. You’re going to be there for a while.

A number of Wake Forest Fire Department units were dispatched and on scene but it looked like Wake Forest Engine 2 got the bulk of the action.

Not to ruin the story for you but as usual the Wake Forest Fire Department put the fire out quickly and handled it like pros.
