On Thursday evening a little after 9 PM the call went out for Wake Forest first responders to assist a motorcyclist in trouble on Capital Boulevard in front of the Verizon store near Lowe’s Home Improvement. It was not immediately clear if the incident was the result of an accident with another vehicle.
While I hope and pray the motorcycle rider survives it certainly appeared to be a life threatening incident. CPR was reported in progress when the first unit, Wake Forest Engine 2, arrived on the scene. At least that seems to indicate a Good Samaritan or other first responder quickly stopped and jumped into heroic action.
According to radio traffic a female was also on the back of motorcycle but based on reports she seemed to be significantly less injured.
There was no way to initially tell what was the cause of the incident. Several cars were pulled off haphazardly on the northbound side and a woman sat on the ground and painfully wailed expressing intense sadness and emotional trauma.
I’m probably not the strongest prayer delivery vehicle so if you’ve got some amazing prayer skills this would be the time to send some prayers to help the rider of the motorcycle and all involved in this tragic incident.
