WCPE Helps Wake Forest Celebrate Women. Woohoo!

woohooWCPE, the classical radio station headquartered in Wake Forest is getting their groove on by celebrating Women’s Equality Day on August 26, 2013.

WCPE’s Music Director William Woltz said, “We will hear from Clara Schumann and Fanny Mendelssohn,” says Woltz who is also co-host of Allegro. “Jennifer Higdon, Joan Tower and other composers who are shaping today’s Classical landscape will be featured.”

Surely you can’t celebrate women’s equality without a little Fanny.

“This is a great opportunity to feature women in Classical music,” he continues.

Don’t let me hold you back. Anytime anyone wants to celebrate women, I’m all for that.

If you want to join in on the celebration there are a number of ways to listen.

WCPE’s 24/7 live broadcast of Great Classical Music, 24 Hours A Day can be  heard one of the many ways; online affiliate stations, on cable, via satellite, or on the radio in Wake Forest at 89.7 FM. – Source
