Vehicles Pile Up on Durham Road During Morning Commute

Bad accident on Durham Road at Camp Kanata around 7:40 AM on September 10, 2014. We had what appeared to be a bad four car accident this morning that snarled traffic for miles in both directions. Stony Hill Rural Fire Department, Wake County EMS and North Carolina State Highway Patrol were on the scene to take car of injured and attempt to clear the road quickly.

There is no word on the injured but several people were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

  1. I made it thru there around 7:15 and I believe the accident must have just happened because no emergency personnel had arrived yet (Stony Hill was dispatched and on route by the time I made it to the Stony Hill Rd traffic light). Not a pretty scene at all. Prayers to all involved.
