Police have arrested three Franklinton residents in connection with a Sunday morning burglary along Thornrose Way.
Authorities say during the early morning hours of Sept. 14, Estes, age 52, entered a residence along the 1000 block of Thornrose Way through an unlocked rear sliding glass door and stole several items while the family slept. Later, Williams, 38, and Oakley, 26, allegedly helped Estes hide the stolen items.
Estes, Williams and Oakley are being held at the Wake County Jail. Bond for Estes is set at $100,000, while bond for Williams and Oakley is $10,000 and $5,000 respectively.
“Our guys did a great job solving this case very quickly,” said Wake Forest Police Chief Jeff Leonard. “Thanks to their efforts, we not only captured the people responsible, but we also recovered all of the stolen property and returned it to the owner.”
However, officials are urging residents to be vigilant in preventing burglaries by locking all doors and windows, setting their home alarms and reporting suspicious activity by calling 919-554-6150.
