Major road resurfacing project set to begin

Town of Wake Forest News

Wake Forest will begin a major road rehabilitation and resurfacing project over the next several days that targets over 50 streets and roadways. The initiative, which will take several months to complete, includes full depth patching, roadway repairs and repaving.

During April, Barnhill Contracting Co., a contractor working on behalf of the Town, will perform work on the following streets:

  • Dagmar Lane

  • Dugway Court

  • Groveton Trail

  • Elm Avenue

  • Pineview Drive

  • Bratt Avenue

  • Carroll Street

  • West Holding Avenue

  • Highgate Circle

  • North Taylor Street

  • Seventh Street

  • Crenshaw Point

  • Tryst Lane

  • Brooks Street

  • Biscay Lane

  • Moultonboro Avenue

  • Joyner Court

  • Woodland Drive

  • Rookwood Court

  • East Cedar Avenue

  • Deacons Bend Court

  • East Holding Avenue

  • Studbury Hall Court

  • West Vernon Avenue

  • Coach Lantern Avenue

  • Catrush Way

Affected residents will be notified of work in advance by door hangers. During the scheduled work dates, these residents will be required to move their parked vehicles off the street. Vehicles left on the street on the scheduled work dates will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Once the work begins, detour signs and flaggers will direct traffic around the work areas. Motorists in these areas should use caution, obey flag signals from construction personnel, and take the signed detour or choose an alternate route.
