Epcon Communities, a contractor working on behalf of the City of Raleigh Public Utilities Department (CORPUD) is scheduled to begin installing a sewer line along the Sanford Creek Greenway on Monday, April 9. The greenway is situated in Heritage South in the vicinity of Sanford Creek Avenue.
The installation of the sewer line will require the closure of the Sanford Creek Greenway from the Marshall Farm Road entrance to the Sanford Creek Avenue cul-de-sac access throughout the duration of the project, which is expected to take several months.
Barricades and signage announcing the greenway closure will be posted at the trail’s Marshall Farm Road entrance and the Sanford Creek Avenue cul-de-sac entrance. Greenway users are urged to obey the signs and avoid the area.
The greenway and boardwalk will reopen upon completion of the project.
