Student arrested for disorderly conduct after setting off smoke bomb

A 17-year-old Wake Forest High School student has been arrested after setting off a smoke bomb that forced the school to evacuate students and staff.

Joseph Dylan Schaber, 835 Loch Maben St., has been charged with disorderly conduct-disrupting students after setting off a smoke bomb in a school restroom.

The incident occurred today at approximately 9:30 a.m., and no injuries were reported.

Schaber was transported to the Wake County Detention Center.

The Wake Forest Police Department wishes to acknowledge the cooperation and assistance of the Wake Forest Fire Department and the Wake County Public School System.
