Apply now to serve on Cultural Resources Advisory Board

Town of Wake Forest News

You can make a difference in our community by applying to fill an opening on the Cultural Resources Advisory Board.

The Cultural Resources Advisory Board advises the Board of Commissioners and Town staff on initiatives, programs and services related to the Town’s cultural arts programming. Members serve as advocates to the community and the commissioners in promoting cultural arts programs and initiatives throughout Wake Forest.

The online application is available on the Town’s website at www.wakeforestnc.gov/advisory-board-application.aspx. Anyone without computer access may complete the application by using the computer kiosks in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St. Hard copies of the application are available upon request by contacting Executive Assistant Cathi Pope at 919-435-9467 or cpope@wakeforestnc.gov.

Completed applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. Friday, June 15.

Wake Forest residents and non-Wake Forest residents are eligible to apply.

Applicants are encouraged to meet with the current members of the Cultural Resources Advisory Board at their regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre Arts Annex, 407 S. Brooks St. The advisory board will then make its recommendation to the Board of Commissioners, which will announce its appointment during its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 17. The term for the new appointee will commence immediately.

The Town’s advisory boards were established to give citizens input into what happens in the community and to advise the Board of Commissioners on matters that affect citizens and their Town government.
