Preliminary work underway on Street Connections Project

Town of Wake Forest News

Carolina Sunrock, a private contractor working on behalf of the Town of Wake Forest, has begun preliminary work on one of the initiatives included as part of a “Street Connections Project” that will eventually affect several areas around town.

Surveyors are now in the process of marking the future Forest Road connection. Located off Ligon Mill Road, Forest Road currently dead-ends but will eventually run parallel to Wake Drive and extend to South Main Street/US 1A.

Other initiatives included as part of the Street Connections Project will include a Royall Mill Connection, radius repairs in the South Forest Business Park, the re-striping of Retail Drive and the repaving of the parking lot of the Wake Forest Police Department.

Weather permitting, the $915,000 project will be completed in mid-November.
