
Connie Mishoe Heath Bledsoe, age 72, left this earth peacefully on July 6, 2018. She was born to Elva Mae and George Chappelle Heath on April 10, 1946 in Tarboro NC. Connie spent her childhood and high school years on the Neuse River in New Bern, NC. After finishing New Bern High School, she graduated from Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh with a business degree. While in Raleigh she met and married William Patterson Bledsoe of Fayetteville. Most of their married life was spent in Fayetteville. Connie was a teacher’s aide for 27+ years at Seventy First and Lloyd Almond Elementary Schools. She was very active in Village Baptist Church. She was a member of the choir and involved in many aspects of the youth program. Connie loved painting and crafts. She also loved spending time at the coast, either the Neuse River or the beach. Connie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a strong Christian faith and a great love for her family and her many friends. She will be greatly missed.
Connie is survived by her husband of 47 years, William Patterson Bledsoe, her two sons, Ashley Neal Bledsoe (Jennifer) and Jason Talmadge Bledsoe (Summer). Three grandchildren: Christopher Ryan Bledsoe, Layton Heath Bledsoe and Eden Mae Bledsoe. Connie is also survived by her mother, Elva Mae Heath of New Bern, brothers George C Heath, Jr (Becky) of New Bern, William Cooper Heath (Wenna) of New Bern and sister, Helen H White of New Bern and Raleigh. There is also a large extended family including many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, George C Heath.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 12, at 1 PM at Village Baptist Church of Fayetteville. Visitation with the family will follow the service at the church at 2 PM.
