You can make a difference in our community by applying to fill one of the vacancies on the Planning Board. All residents who live in Wake Forest are eligible to fill two unexpired terms.
The online application is available on the Town’s website at www.wakeforestnc.gov/advisory-board-application.aspx. Anyone without computer access is invited to complete the application by using the computer kiosks in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St. Hard copies are also available upon request by contacting Executive Assistant Cathi Pope at 919-435-9467 or [email protected].
Completed applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. Friday, July 27.
Candidates will be introduced to the Board of Commissioners (BOC) during the Board’s work session on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 5:30 p.m.
The BOC will vote on the Planning Board appointments during its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 21. Selected applicants will fill seats vacated by past members, so terms for new appointees will commence immediately.
The Town’s advisory boards were established to give citizens input into what happens in the community and to advise the Board of Commissioners on matters that affect citizens and their Town government. For more information, contact Cathi Pope at 919-435-9467 or [email protected].
