Anybody that would use vinyl cove base, particularly that color, with that hardwood shouldn't be too picky about a couple of miscuts.
If I was paying some to come and professionally install a floor I don't care if it is a vinyl base board and a bad color.
I'd like someone to contact the company that installed it and simply hold them accountable for a poor job…
