Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Wake Forest Police have arrested a 30-year-old Wake Forest man in connection with last night’s armed robbery of the Wake Forest OHM Quick Shop, 12305 Capital Blvd.

Police arrested Joshua Charles Barfuss, 8416 Southern Pines Dr., earlier this evening and charged him with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Barcuss is being held in the Wake County Jail under $50,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is Monday.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. last evening, Wake Forest Police officers and Wake County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an armed robbery call at the OHM Quick Shop, 12305 Capital Blvd. A male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The store clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Tips from the public were instrumental in identifying the suspect as Barfuss.
