Thursday’s NCDOT public meeting in Wake Forest postponed

Town of Wake Forest News

A North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) public meeting scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11, in Wake Forest is postponed because of anticipated heavy rains and wind from Hurricane Michael. The NCDOT will reschedule the meeting for a later date.

The meeting, about a proposal to convert US 1/Capital Boulevard to a controlled-access facility from I-540 in Raleigh to Purnell Road/Harris Road in Wake Forest, was set to take place from 4-7 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St.

Additional information about this project is available at the N.C. Department of Transportation’s public input website at https://publicinput.com/US-1-Capital-Boulevard.

A new date for the meeting will be announced in the coming days.
